In The Mood To Keep Going began as the first development phase as part of Interconnect Studio’s ‘FOUR’ program. Inspired by Songs From the Second Floor by Roy Andersson, the process prompted us to reflect on what we carry within ourselves, both visibly and beneath the surface. We became interested in the idea that everyone is carrying something - memories, fears, expectations, grief, desires or experiences that shape how we move through the world.

This led us to experiment with the idea of a live ‘confession’ room, a separate space that the dancers visit throughout the work. The room offers a glimpse into their inner worlds, creating moments where thoughts and feelings can surface and be shared.
